Minister criticises Jaya's remark on TN CM
Chennai, Oct 15 (UNI) Tamil Nadu Electricity Minister and DMK Treasurer Arcot Veeraswamy today said the people of the State did not expect any certificate from AIADMK General Secretary J Jayalalithaa as to whether Chief Minister M Karunanidhi is a good man.
In a statement here, Mr Veeraswamy took strong exception to the reported remark of Ms Jayalalithaa against Mr Karunanidhi and said the outcome of the ongoing local body elections would be a reward given by the people for the five-month old DMK rule in the State.
Referring to some AIADMK and MDMK functionaries joining the DMK yesterday, he said, they were all disillusioned with the atrocitites and anti-democratic attitude of the AIADMK and nobody had compelled them to join DMK. They joined DMK on their own, he added.
In fact, he said, many AIADMK men were approaching the DMK for crossover, as they knew that there would be no future for AIADMK led by Jayalalithaa. This would be the last election faced by Jayalaithaa's AIADMK, and very soon, she would be left wondering, where all the supporters had gone and left her alone, he added UNI RV JJ KVV SP RN1837
