Maoist naxal killed in encounter in AP

Mahaboob Nager, Oct 15 (UNI) A naxal, belonging to the CPI (Maoist) Party, was killed in an encounter with the police near Lingasana Palli village of Kalvakurthy Mandal in this district tonight.

Police said a group of naxals opened fire on a special police party conducting combing operation.

Police returned fire, killing one naxal on the spot. The slain naxal was suspected to be the Maoist dalam commander Raju alias Kiran.

The police were conducting searches to apprehend the other naxals.
