JK govt is promoting cultural activities: Mangat Ram

Jammu, Oct 15 (UNI) Lauding Rang Bhoomi, a socio-cultural organisation in the state, Jammu and Kashmir Health and Medical Education Minister Mangat Ram Sharma has said the government is making every possible effort to promote cultural activities here.

''Rang Bhoomi has been infusing the spirit of cultural activities among budding artistes of Kathua and adjoining areas and the artistes are the best media for spreading the message of national integration and communal harmony,'' Mr Sharma said.

The Minister also announced a grant of Rs 51,000 for Rang Bhoomi.

A cultural event 'Yeh Shaam Mastani', organised by the organisation, was held in Kathua. Minister of State for Revenue, Finance and Parliamentary Affairs Minister Prem Sagar Aziz, government officials, besides a galaxy of artistes, were present on the occasion.
