Jeev slumps further, finishes tied 21st in Japan Open
Kawagoe, Oct 15 (UNI) Jeev Milkha Singh was sitting pretty atop the leaderboard after a scintillating opening round but a steady slump in form saw the Indian eventually finish tied 21st with his second successive round of three-over 74 in the final round of the Japan Open here today.
Jeev, who had kicked off his campaign with a round of 65, could not return an under-par card in his subsequent outings and followed it with rounds of 72, 74 and 74 for an aggregate of one-over 285.
Jeev, however, went richer by 1,686,666 yen for his show.
The Indian had just one birdie, on the fifth hole, in his round which included bogeys on the first, fourth, seventh and 13th.
Meanwhile, Paul Sheehan's final round of 71 was good enough to see him finish on top with seven-under 277.
