JD(U) demands inquiry into Mangalore violence

Mangalore, Oct 15 (UNI) Janata Dal (United) Karnataka President B Somasekhar today demand an inquiry into recent violence in Mangalore City and rural areas in which two people were killed and more than 100 injured.

Talking to newsmen he said that the government should institute an inquiry by CBI or Judicial probe and punish the culprits behind the violence which has led to loss of lakhs of rupees public and private properties. ''The government has not assessed the loss properly in the violence. Suitable compensation should be given at the earliest to the victims,'' he added.
