Former Kerala Chief Justice dead

Vadakara, Kerala, Oct 15 (UNI) Former Kerala Chief Justice V P Gopalan Nambiar died of illness related to old age at a private hospital here today.

He was 90. Mr Nambiar is survived by his wife, son and three daughters.

Mr Nambiar was the Chief Justice of Kerala from 1976 to 1980.

Starting his practise at the Ernakulam Bar, he was the Advocate General of the state from 1961 to 1965.

The funeral would take place tomorrow evening after his son arrives from Africa, family sources said.
