Eleven juvenile inmates escape from Ghagidih

Jamshedpur, Oct 15 (UNI) About 11 juvenile inmates managed to escape from a remand home at Ghagidih under Parsudih police station area here early today.

Police said lack of security arrangements in and around the remand home was the main cause for the incident.

Police said the inmates first broke the prison grill and then scaled the boundary wall.

Police had launched a manhunt to nab the inmates but no one has been traced so far, sources said.

Almost every year inmates flee from the remand home but police and the district authorities fail to prevent such incidents, sources added.
