Electronically controlled bikes launched in India

Mumbai, Oct 15 (UNI) An electronically controlled bike ''Value'' prepared by Veersatile Energy Research System Auto pvt ltd (VERSA) was yesterday launched at the hands of former miss world 1999 Yukta Mukhi.

Company CMD Mahindra Bisawa in an interaction with the reporters, said that the four models launched were Smooth, Mood, Sleek and Gallop. The company has a tie up with Chinese company 'Fortune spectrum industrial ltd'. The electronic vehicles are pollution and noise free.

He said the company will start its manufacturing in India from June, next year and its unit will be set in Dhule, the district from where the CMD belonged.

The company is aiming to sell 75,000 units in its first year and targetting 200 dealers. He said the price range is Rs 19,900 to Rs 28,900.

The cost of the four batteries is Rs 4500 which is rechargeable.

The self start bike is very economical and its average is at five paise per km, Mr Bisawa told UNI that he was targetting to replace the cycle market by his bikes.

He said there are 16 crore cycles in India and it would be beneficial even one crore of them switches to his bikes.

These bikes does not need the RTO clearance or licence or helmets since its speed is below 25 per km, he added.

Mr Bisawa further said that soon he would go for three wheeler electronically congtrolled tricycle and within four years, they are planning for the cars.
