Dr Phadke receives Dhanvantari Award
Mumbai, Oct 15 (UNI) Maharashtra Chief Minister Vilasrao Deshmukh today presented the prestigious 'Dhanvantari' award to eminent Urologist Dr Ajit Phadke for his contribution to the medical sector.
While giving the award on behalf of Dhanvantari Medical Federation at a function here, Mr Deshmukh said each and every Doctor feels that he or she should get 'Dhanvantari' award as a recognition of his or her contribution to the field of medicine.
The Chief Minister called Dr Phadke as ''Khare Dadarvashi Aahe'' (true resident of Dadar, North-central Mumbai), as he had treated several patients of the area besides giving a new lease of life to several persons from other places.
Union Energy Minister Sushilkumar Shinde, Petroleum Minister Murli Deora and several other high profile personalities were also present at the function.
