Dengue toll in Capital reaches 28; 1,475 total affected
New Delhi, Oct 15: With three more deaths reported in the Capital in the last 24 hours, toll in the deadly dengue menace in Delhi rose to 28 even as the figure of those affected shot up to 1,475.
With 61 fresh 'cases' admitted to the All India Institute of Medical Sciences here, in the last 24 hours, 32 people were discharged from the hospital after showing 'improvement', said sources.
Among those who died in the last 24 hours were 70-year-old Kumaon Singh of Delhi, Muzaffar Iqbal (60), who hailed from Muzaffarpur in Uttar Pradesh, and Gurgaon resident Manoj Singh (30).
With another 61 people being admitted to the AIIMS, the figure of those undergoing treatment there has risen to 192.
Meanwhile, total number of dengue cases reported so far in the Capital has risen to 1,457, of which 931 are of Delhi alone, according to an MCD official.
