Dengue toll in Capital 31; total affected 1,465
New Delhi, Oct 15: The Dengue toll in the Capital today rose to 31 with six more deaths reported in the Capital in the last 24 hours, even as those affected by the deadly disease shot up to 1,465.
Among those who died today of dengue, three were from the All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS), two from Guru Teg Bahadur Hospital and one from Holy Family Hospital.
Of the total 92 fresh cases registered in the last 24 hours ending 1100 hrs, 61 were at the AIIMS, where 32 people were discharged from the hospital today, said sources.
Among those who died at AIIMS were 70-year-old Kunwar Singh of Rajapuri in Delhi, Muzaffar Iqbal (60), who hailed from Muzaffarpur in Uttar Pradesh, and Gurgaon resident Manoj Singh (30).
With 61 people being admitted to the AIIMS, the figure of those undergoing treatment there has risen to 192.
Meanwhile, total number of dengue cases reported so far in the Capital has risen to 1,465, of which 931 are of Delhi alone, according to an MCD official.
