Dengue: Blood samples sent for analysis
Bhopal, Oct 15 (UNI) Blood samples of 29 persons, affected by dengue in Madhya Pradesh, have been sent to laboratories at Delhi and Pune.
''Of them, 14 are from Gwalior district, six each from Bhopal and Indore besides one from Jabalpur and two others. The report is expected by tomorrow. Large-scale dengue prevention measures are in place,'' Commissioner (Health) Rajesh Rajora said here today.
Spraying was undertaken in 1,200 villages and more than 50 lakh pamphlets dispatched to the districts. A control room is operational and district medical officers directed to act promptly after receiving dengue-linked information.
''Beds have been reserved for dengue cases in the state's four medical colleges. Besides, treatment has been ensured at seven district hospitals,'' the bureaucrat added.
