Boycott Indo-Pak cricket match, calls Thackeray
Mumbai, Oct 15 (UNI) Shiv Sena supremo Balasaheb Thackeray today urged the people to boycott India-Pakistan cricket match with a view to give message that all Indians are against 'terrorism'.
In a statement appeared in Shiv Sena mouthpiece Saamana, of which Mr Thackeray is the editor, he reminded that the Shiv Sainiks had twice dug the pitch of Wankhede stadium in Mumbai and Firozshah Kotla ground, New Delhi to stop the match between India and Pakistan.
Interestingly, if India and Pakistan enter in the final of the ongoing Champions Trophy, the match will be played in Mumbai and Mr Thackeray wondered if special battalions would be deployed to protect the grounds.
He said he was also a cricket lover but he was not interested in giving up the pride of the country. He further asked whether the people who would go to watch the Indo-Pak cricket, match would preserve the pride of the country or not.
