Arrested DM suspended

Patna, Oct 14 (UNI) Bihar government tonight placed under suspension the district magistrate of Madhepura Hemchandra Jha who was arrested yesterday and transferred seven IAS officers including three district magistrates.

Sources in personal and adminsitrative reforms department said district magistrates of Buxar and Supaul Mr Rashid Ahmad Khan and Mr Baidyanath Prasad respectively were shifted to state secretariat under different capacity. Joint secretary of finance department Mr Rajesh Kumar has been apppointed as district magistrate of Madhepura.

Other notable transfers are Mr Sharif Alam Khan from road construction department to district magistrate of Supaul, Mr Baidyanath Prasad from district magistrate of Supaul to road construction department as upper secretary, Mr Vishnudev Prasad Singh from deputy development commissioner of Madhubani to district magistrate of Buxar and Md Ashif Ibrahim from minority welafare department to as managing director of sone command development authority.
