Air India, Army XI enter semifinals in Sikkim Gold cup

Gangtok, Oct 15 (UNI) Air India (Mumbai) and Army XI moved into the semifinals after they drew 0-0 in the second quaterfinal league match of the 28th All India Governors' Gold Fup football tournament at Paljor stadium here today.

Both the teams have seven points each after their three matches in group B. After their scoreless play, a win of spin of coin took AIR India atop the group.

Yesterday, Nigerian side GMSK Lion XI had entered the last four stage.

In another match of the day Sikkim Sports Academy edged past fighting Ansa Nepal 1-0 in the quarterfinal league in group A.

After the barren first half the SSA medio Bikash Jairu sent a salvo from 20 yards beating Nepal's goalkeper Upendra Man Singh in the 55th minute of play.

Tomorrow Assam Rifles will take on Sikkim Police.
