8 naxals arrested in AP

Nalgonda, Andhra Pradesh, Oct 15 (UNI) Eight CPI (ML) Prajaprathighatana and CPI Liberation Party naxals were arrested by the police at Suryapet in the district today.

Producing the arrested naxals before the press here, Hyderabad Range DIG Eswar Reddy said five Prajaprathighatana and three CPI Liberation Party naxals were arrested for indulging in extortion from educational institutions and businessmen in the district.

He said two revolvers, two pistols, 38 rounds of ammunition and Rs 25,000 were recovered from the arrested persons.
