4 injured in clashes between two groups of a community in Gujarat

Anand, Gujarat, Oct 15 (UNI) Four people sustained minor injuries in a clash between two groups of a minority community at Borsad town, late last evening.

Police sources said , the incident took place over eve-teasing of a girl in Rabari-Chakla area of the town around 2000 hours last evening.

The eve-teasing of a girl led to the clash between youths of Malek and Pathan castes, injuring four persons.

Police have registered a case of rioting against 37 individuals and have arrested seven people, including local municipal councilor Hidayatkhan Pathan, for rioting in public place.

Those injured were treated in a civic hospital.

Both groups have filed counter complaints against each other, police sources said.
