Young 'tantrik' offers tongue at temple

Ujjain, MP, Oct 14 (UNI) A young 'tantrik', who was grieved over being held responsible for the death of his friend, has slashed his tongue and offered it at the Chamunda Mata temple here, police said today.

Kallu (30) and his friend Mukesh (40) used to perform 'tantrik' rituals together.

Yesterday, Mukesh reached Kallu's house in drunken condition.

Later, he fell unconscious and died before he could be provided treatment.

Mukesh's family members held Kallu responsible for his friend's death. Kallu, who was aggrieved, took the extreme step and was admitted to the district hospital, where his condition was stated to be out of danger.

Kallu was arrested for attempting to commit suicide.
