Union Minister to release KABP report to be released on Oct 16

Hyderabad, Oct 14 (UNI) Union Minister of State for Health and Family Welfare Panabaka Lakshmi will release the report on Knowledge, Attitudes, Beliefs, and Practices (KABP) Study on Food and Drug Safety at a function to be held at National Institute of Nutrition on October 16.

Officials from the Ministry, Indian Council of Medical Research, eminent scientists and representatives from the World Bank will take part in the national dissemination workshop, according to a release from National Institute of Nutrition (NIN).

The study was taken up by the NIN at the behest of the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare under the World Bank-assisted capacity building project on food safety and quality control of drugs.

The study was the first of its kind taken up in the country covering 82 districts spread over 28 states of the country, it claimed.
