Traffic police asks people to avoid tomorrow's 'marathon' route
New Delhi, Oct 14 (UNI) The Delhi Police has informed city denizens to avoid taking the route used by rumers in tomorrow's 'Hutch Delhi Half Marathon' which begins from Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium at 0730 hrs.
People travelling by train and examinees are requested to start early due to traffic restrictions and closure of roads at various sections, said the traffic police.
Suitable parking arrangements have been done at the marathon venue which would be restricted to 'labelled' vehicles, along with 'park and ride' facility from Pragati Maidan DTC Terminus which starts from 0530 hrs.
The marathon being run in three categories -- half marathon (21.09 km), Senior Citizen Run (4 km) and Great Delhi Run (7 km), is expected to have more than 25,000 participants.
