RSS backs VHP over Rajasthan Haj House issue

Varanasi, Oct 14 (UNI) RSS today backed the Vishwa Hindu Parishad's stand on the Haj house issue in Rajasthan -- a matter which has brought the Vasundhara Raje government and the VHP at odds in the Western state.

''The RSS supports the VHP stand of not having any Haj house in Rajasthan and is attempting to work out the issue with the BJP government and VHP,'' Sangh national exceutive member Ram Madhav told newspersons here this evening.

The Vasundhara Raje government proposed move to go for a Haj House in Sanganer has evoked sharp opposition from the VHP, which is reportedly preparing to launch a 'Jan Jagaran Abhiyan' in Rajasthan early next month.

The proposed move has also raised voices of opposition from inside the state government itself, with education minister Ghanshyam Shukla, also opposing it.
