No correspondence from President's office to UPA Govt: Chavan
Pune, Oct 14 (UNI) Union Minister of State in Prime Minister's Office (PMO) Prithviraj Chavan today said the United Progressive Alliance (UPA) government received no correspondence from the President's Office in respect of granting clemency to Mohammad Afzal Guru, the Parliament attack convict.
Mr Chavan was answering a query about the government's stand on granting mercy to Afzl Guru.
The Minister said the government had yet to receive the correspondence before it could be placed before the Cabinet.
