Nitish assures full support for speedy justice

Patna, Oct 14 (UNI) Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar today assured to provide necessary funds and other logistics for ensuring speedy delivery of justice.

Addressing the inaugural session of a seminar-cum-workshop on ''Speedy Criminal Justice'' here, Mr Kumar emphasised on avoiding delay in trial of cases and said that to establish rule of law, speedy justice delivery was necessary.

Mr Kumar expressed satisfaction over some examplary instances of disposing cases under Arms Act within a record time and said that a special wing in vigilance department has been created for the speedy hearing of the cases relating to bribe and disproportionate assets.

Chief Justice of Patna High Court J N Bhatt emphasised on collective and concerted efforts of all agencies of the state for speedy justice.

Justices of Patna High Court, district judges, district magistrate and district superitendents of police attended the two- day seminar.
