Militants kidnap 4 VDC members, hold 2 hostage in Doda

Jammu, Oct 14 (UNI) Militants have held hostge two Village Defence Committee (VDC) members after kidnapping them from Tandu Ganttr village in Doda district of Jammu and Kashmir, police sources said here today.

''A group of militants yesterday came in village Tandu Ganttr (under Doda police station) and kidnapped four VDC members, --- Sahdi Lal, Ram Lal, Ghulam Mohd Bhat and Ghulam Hassan Dar -- alongwith weapons issued to them,'' police sources added.

Later, militants released Sahdi Lal and Ram Lal without their weapons, while the other two members were still held hostage, they added.
