Kapal Mochan fair from Nov 2-5

Chandigarh, Oct 14 (UNI) The historical annual Kapal Mochan Fair, having great religious significance, would be held at Bilaspur in Yamunanagar district from November 2 to 5.

An official spokesman said lakhs of devotees from all over the country were expected to throng the venue of the fair to have a holy dip in the sacred sarovar.

Most of the devotees come from neighbouring states of Punjab, Uttar Pradesh, Uttranchal, Himachal Pradesh, Chandigarh and Delhi.

This annual fair is a unique example of Hindu-Sikh unity with devotees from both communities visiting Kapal Mochan to pay their obeisance.

The devotees also visit temples, gurdwaras and other shrines in and around Kapal Mochan. Cultural troupes of North Zone Cultural Centre and artistes of Punjab and Haryana would enthral the visitors with their performances.
