Jeev slips further, tied 14th afer rd 3 of Japan Open

Kawagoe, Oct 14 (UNI) Jeev Milkha Singh's title hopes suffered a blow as he carded a poor three-over 74 to drop to the tied 14th spot after the penultimate round of the Japan Open here today.

Today's dismal show, which pushed him out of the top 10, left the seasoned Indian pro with a three-day total of two-under 211, five shots adrift of leader Paul Sheehan (68).

Jeev, who was at the tied second spot yesterday, got off to a fine start as he fired three birdies in a row starting from the second hole.

However, the UBS Asian Tour Order of Merit leader soon lost his way and stumbled to a bogey and a double bogey on the fifth and sixth to make the turn even-par.

Things did not improve much in his return journey and Jeev ended up with a triple bogey on the 15th and could only manage even-par shots after that to complete a disappointing day.
