Highway blocked after police inaction over unclaimed female foetus

Sikar, Oct 14 (UNI) An angry crowd blocked the Sikar-Jodhpur highway today for an hour for police inaction over a female foetus found in the area.

A female foetus was found in a bag near the Jamna Lal Bajaj roundabout, which was torn and bitten up by stray dogs. The dogs managed to bring the bag to the road end.

It is being assumed that some people left the bag with the a female foetus at night. After the dogs brought the bags to the road, it was run over by some vehicles.

Local people informed the police, who failed to reach the spot even after an hour. Angry over the incident, the mob blocked the Sikar-Jodhpur highway, bringing traffic to a halt.

The police later reached the spot, dispersed the crowd and reopened the highway.
