HC summons Railway GM
Bilaspur, Oct 14 (UNI) The Chhattisgarh High Court has directed South Eastern Central Railway General Manager to appear personally before it and present construction-related report of Tifra bridge.
Hearing a letter petition by Citizen of Bilaspur, a division bench of Justice Vijay Kumar Srivastava and Justice Dhirendra Mishra directed the General Manager to appear personally on November 13.
After a letter by the Citizen of Bilaspur was admitted as petition in June 2001, regular hearing has been held over citizen's problems and for increasing their welfare.
Amicus curiae Rajiv Srivastava told the court yesterday that the work on Tifra overbridge was halted. The state government had completed all formalities following court direction in this regard.
However, the Railway did not take it seriously and the construction work was not re-started.
