Goa inter-village soccer tourney from tomorrow

Panaji, Oct 14 (UNI) With an aim to promote football in the villages in Goa, Goldline Sports, Hydrabad in Association with Sirvodem Sports Club&Anjuna Gynkhana are organsing an All Goa inter-village football tournament from tomorrow to October 29 at two different venues in North and South Goa.

Mr Ravi Bura of Hydrabad's Goldline Sports told mediapersons here today that in all 16 teams, eight each from North and South Goa, will participate in the knockout tournament.

The winners will be awarded cash prize of Rs 15,000 and rolling trophy and runners will get Rs 10,000. Third and fourth places will also be awarded with cash prizes.

There will also be an award for best discipline team and best player of the tournament, Mr Bura added.

The tournament will be inaugurated by International Footballer Mr Micky Fernanades tomorrow.
