BSP candidate's nomination rejected

Bhopal, Oct 14 (UNI) The nomination papers filed by Bahujan Samaj Party candidate Mahadeo Prasad Agrawal and two independents for the Assembly byelection in Chhatarpur district's Malehra constituency were rejected during scrutiny today.

According to the Returning Officer, the nomination forms submitted by Kishanlal Soni and Janak Bhai (both Ind) were rejected.

Malehra seat fell vacant following resignation by former chief Minister Uma Bharti on moral grounds after forming the Bhartiya Jan Shakti after her expulsion from the BJP. Polling in the constituency is scheduled on October 30.
