BJP to petition Prez, PM for removal of Shinde, CM
Hyderabad, Oct 14 (UNI) BJP today demanded President A P J Abdul Kalam 'sack' Union Power Minister Sushil Kumar Shinde and Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Y S Rajasekara Reddy in the wake of their alleged indictment in the Gouru Venkat Reddy clemency case by the Supreme Court.
A party delegation would meet Dr Kalam and Prime Minister Manmohan Singh in Delhi to press the demand, party National Secretary B Dattatreya told reporters here.
Referring to Dr Reddy's remark ''to leave it to my conscience', he said ''this is not a question relating to an individual alone to be left to the conscience of the Chief Minister''.
Comparing Dr Reddy with a 'bad workman' complaining about his tools, he alleged that the Chief Minister was making the Kurnool District Collector and the Superintendent of Police 'scapegoats' after signing the file without consulting the Law and Home Secretaries.
