Arogya-health fair on traditional system of medicine inaugurated

New Delhi, Oct 14 (UNI) Arogya', a comprehensive health fair of Ayurveda, Yoga, Unani, Siddha and Homeopathy, was inaugurated by Health Minister Anbumani Ramadoss here today.

The four day health fair displays AYUSH systems of medicine and services to enable people to learn about the strengths of different system. It displays ayurvedic products, yoga and naturopathy, unani, siddha and homeopathy products, medicinal plants and food supplements.

Health Fitness systems, machinery and technology , herbal and panchakarma therapies would also be showcased at the fair. The information about health insurance, health tourism and other related books and publication has also been displayed at the fair.

A number of speciality clinics on treatment of chronic diseases like liver disorders, skin diseases, digestive problems and mental health under various systems has also been organised. Public lectures and panel discussions would also be orgnised on 'Ayuvedic Management of certain difficult disease conditions', 'common skin diseases with special reference to psoriasis and leucoderma', 'management of arthritis through homeopathy' and yoga and modern day health problems would also be organised.

Live Yoga demonstration with on the spot guidance is being given at the fair. Home remedies based on medicinal plants and simple knowhow to cultivate useful medicinal plants are being displayed at the fair.
