8 dead, 39 injured in bus accident

Dehradun, Oct 14 (UNI) Eight-people, including four students died and thirty-nine others were injured in a bus accident in the Chamoli district of Uttaranchal today.

According to the police sources, students of various branches of Saraswati Sishu Mandir School of Pauri districts were coming back from Bageshwar after attending a rally when their bus fell into a 200 metre deep gorge at Nauli, 18 Km away from Karnprayag of Chamoli district at around 1400 hrs, killing four students and four teachers instantly and injuring 39 others, 6 seriously.

All injured have been admitted in Karnprayag Primary Health Centres. In all 47 people were travelling in the bus, the police said.
