6 villages at a cost of Rs 7.20 crore in Kashmir soon

Srinagar, Oct 14: Six model villages are coming up at a cost of Rs 1.20 crore each in south Kashmir district of Pulwama, an official spokesman said here today.

He said the model village will have all several facilities, including children park, playground, common facility centre, community information centre, solar lights, shopping complex.

He said against the released amount of Rs 1.80 crore Rs 87.16 lakh stand utilised so far under this scheme.

Under Total Sanitation Campaign, Rs 4.41 crore are being spent in the district to provide sanitary facilities to the common people and 8836 individual sanitary points, 184 school sanitary points, 27 women sanitary complex and 3 anganwari toilet points have been constructed.

He said under IAY, 634 low cost houses at an expenditure of Rs 74.63 lakh have been constructed while under SGRY 104 works have been completed generating 1600 mandays.
