3 civilians injured in north Kashmir encounter

Srinagar, Oct 14 (UNI) Three civilians were injured in an encounter between militants and security forces in north Kashmir today, official sources said.

They said militants hurled two handgrenades on security forces patrol at Nadihal Bandipora in north Kashmir.

The grenade attack was followed by firing.

Security forces also returned the fire and, ensuing encounter in the three civilians were injured.

The area has been cordoned off and a search has been launched to apprehend the militants.
