Two held for cricket betting
Jaipur, Oct 13 (UNI): Two people found to be indulging in cricket betting have been arrested here.
According to inspector general of police, O P Gehlotra two people namely Ghanshyam, 32 and Ramesh Kumar, 41, were arrested yesterday while they were betting from outside the Ambabari shopping complex in the city.
Three mobiles, along with 231 records of other mobile connections with fake identity proofs were recovered from them. A cash of Rs 3,100 were also seized from them. They were reported to be betting on the England-India match under the ICC Championship Trophy to be held here on Oct 15.
Two Reliance employees Shivshanker Tiwari and Maqdul Bakshi and another Relaince agent K B Natani have been found to be involved in the betting racket. The police are on the lookout of these people.
According to police, at least 11 more sattorias are involved in the racket, which is expected to be busted soon.
