Total foreign reserves down by USD 30 mn to USD 165.275 bn

Mumbai, Oct 13 (UNI) The Reserve Bank of India's weekly statistical report states a decline in the total Forex reserve by US Dollar 30 million for the week ending October six, the figure has come down to US Dollar 165.275 billion compared to US Dollar 165.305 billion last week, The Foreign currency assets too, for the same date has declined by US Dollar 30 million to US Dollar 158.310 compared to previous weeks figure of US Dollar 158.340 billion.

Besides, maintaining the best international practice, India's reserve position in the IMF stood same as previous weeks figure of US Dollar 76.2 billion.

The total bank credit as on Sept 29 was at Rs 16,54,734 crores, where the Food credit was put at Rs 33,458 crores and the non food credit was at Rs 16,21,276 crores.

Besides, the outstandings that accrue out of accommodation provided by the scheduled commercial banks to commercial sector in the form of bank credit and investment shares/debentures/bonds etc as on Sept 29 was at Rs 16,99,997 crores and the variation over the March 31 figures was at Rs 1,54,146 crore compared to previous Sept 15 figure at 1,03579 crores.

Loans and advances given to the state government as on Oct 06 was put at Rs 477 crores compared to sept 29 figure of Rs 242 crores.
