Russia sends envoy to Pyongyang over nuke test
Moscow, Oct 13: Russia today sent Deputy Foreign Minister Alexander Alexeyev to North Korea to examine ways to defuse a crisis fuelled by Pyongyang's reported nuclear test.
''We intend to do everything we can to rule out the development of events along the worst, confrontation scenario,'' Alexeyev said explaining the goal of his visit in remarks posted on the ministry web site www.mid.ru. The foreign ministry gave no details about his visit.
