RTI links public, admn: APCC chief

Visakhapatnam, Oct 13 (UNI) Andhra Pradesh Congress Committee (APCC) President K Keshava Rao today observed that a new linkage was developed between the public and administration, after the implementation of Right to Information Act (RTI).

Addressing a seminar on 'Constraints and Solutions of the RTI Act --after the completion of one year', Mr Rao said the Act would become more beneficial if properly utilised.

The Act was essential for meaningful adherence to democracy in a country like India to bring in social changes'', he said.

Andhra University Vice Chancellor Venugopal Reddy cautioned against the misuse of the Act, in his address to the seminar.
