NSCN factional fights spills over to Manipur

Imphal, Oct 13 (UNI) The conflict between two factions of Nagaland based NSCN(IM) and NSCN(K) had its toll in Manipur as a cadre of the former was killed at Tamenglong district, Manipur police said today.

The cadre was shot dead in front of a hospital yesterday.

The NSCN(K) was mainly targeting the Tangkhul tribe of Manipur.

The outift had also served a quit notice to all Tangkhul tribe living in Nagaland.

Police said the clashes were mostly reported in Tamenglong district.

Imphal West district Police Commando arrested two NSCN (IM) cadres during frisking operations in the past 24 hours.
