No new tehsil in J

Srinagar, Oct 13 (UNI) Jammu and Kashmir Chief Minister Ghulam Nabi Azad has made no commitment regarding the creation of any new tehsil in the boder district of Kupwara during his interaction with various deputations, an official spokesman clarified today.

Deputy Commissioner, Kupwara A M Khanday also sought to clarify the misunderstanding among the people in villages of Langate, Kralpora and Trehgam following a report in a section of the media.

He said the Chief Minister had made no announcement of creation of any new tehsil in the Kupwara district during his public hearing there on Wednesday.

Mr Khanday said reports in the local media have been the cause of misunderstanding.
