State gears to tackle possible Dengue
Aizawl, Oct 13: In the wake of dengue across the country, the Mizoram health department has set up round-the-clock clinic in all government owned hospitals in the state.
Additional Director of Mizoram health service Dr D Baruha said the state was still free from dengue. But the government was making all precautionary measures because the virus can attack any time from possible carrier or travellers.
''As such there is no single dengue case has been reported so far in the state but we don't want to take any chance'', he said adding that dengue haemorrhagic fever (DHF) can cause fatality if not treated immediately.
