Media and Govt should have mutual trust: Dasmunsi

New Delhi, Oct 13: Minister for Information and Broadcasting Priya Ranjan Dasmunsi today said the relationship between media and the Government should be one of mutual trust.

He said media plays a very crucial role in the functioning of democracy.

The Minister was talking to a batch of mass media students from Wilson College Mumbai, who called on him here.

Mr Dasmunsi exhorted the students to be thorough professionals and truthful in their approach as journalists.

He appreciated the role of media in the reporting of recent incidents of acts of terrorism in Mumbai.

The Minister also gave to the students an overview of the activities of the Information&Broadcasting Ministry.
