Man sets himself ablaze over wife's refusal to return

Hoshiarpur, Oct 13 (UNI) The refusal of a married woman to go back to her husband's house led the man to set himself ablaze here.

According to the police, Madhumati, wife of Yashpal, a resident of local Canal colony, had gone to her parental house about two months ago.

Yashpal went to her parents' house on Tuesday to bring her back but she refused to accompany him.

An enraged Yashpal then doused himself with petrol and set himself ablaze.

He has been admitted in the local civil hospital.

The police has registered a case under sections 306 and 511 of the IPC against Madhumati.
