Lanka Dy High Commissioner meets CM
Puducherry, Oct 13 (UNI) Deputy High commissioner of Sri Lanka in South India P M Amza today called on Puducherry chief minister N Rangasamy in his office.
Both of them were closetted for about half an hour and had reportedly held discussions on various fronts, including promotion of tourism here.
Later, talking to newspersons Mr Amza said there was a good potential for tourism development in Puducherry. He extended an invitation to the chief minister to visit Sri Lanka.
He said initiatives are needed to be taken to strengthen trade relations between India and the island nation. He would send an offical team to India, including Puducherry, as a follow up of his visit.
