Lalu is "unemployed": Nitish
Patna Oct 13 (UNI) Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar today described his political bete noire and Railway Minister Lalu Prasad as an ''unemployed'' person as the entire work was discharged by the officials.
In a press conference at JD(U) office, Mr Kumar said, ''Now a days, Mr Prasad has ample time to make himself busy in instigating political friends and opponents.
''Mr Prasad has been asking senior JD(U) leader Prabhunath Singh for political help and simultaneously issuing statements against Mr Singh,'' Mr Kumar said.
To a query regarding observations of Gujarat High Court, which termed the Banerjee Commission constituted to probe Godhra carnage as ''illegal'', Mr Kumar said, ''As a Railway Minister, I explained the matter in Parliament when it was raised by Mr Prasad.'' He said Mr Prasad had tried to gain political mileage by raising the issue during elections and dubbed the entire matter as ''politically motivated''.
Mr Kumar said ''his party was not in favour of depriving any one from educational facilities just in the name of creamy layer.'' Meanwhile, state president of Forward Block Ram Naresh Singh today joined JD(U), along with his supporters. On this occasion, Mr Kumar hoped that the party would be further strengthened with the presence of leaders like Ram Naresh singh.
