Home Minister's foreign jaunt criticised
Jaipur, Oct 13 (UNI) Rajasthan Pradesh Congress Committee (RPCC) has strongly criticised the proposed foreign jaunt of Home Minister Gulab Chand Kataria at a time when the law and order situation in the state is in a very 'precarious condition'.
Spokesperson of the RPCC Dr Param Navdeep Singh in a release said the Home Minister was planning to leave for Slovania to give a lectre on non-violence and world peace when his own state was going through unprecedented law and order problem.
She said the custodial death of a youth at Man Town at Sawai Madhopur, the killing of three people by a police constable in Bharatpur, the police high-handedness on the public at Karoli, the farmers agitation at Gharsana in Ganganagar and gang rape of a Dalit girl at Kukdodh village in Sikar were examples of the lawlessness pravailing in the state.
She said the Home Minister had not found time to visit the above mentioned places before going on a foreign tour.
"The transfer and posting of the police officials on 'desire' has done damage to the discipline in the police force and dented the morale of the police personnel," she alleged.
