Eye camp at AP hospital

Visakhapatnam, Oct 13 (UNI) Andhra Medical College Principal C V Rao today inaugurated an eye camp here on the occasion of World Vision Day which has as its main theme diabetic retinopathy.

Mr Rao spoke on the dangers of diabetes which impaired vision and called for lifestyle and food habit changes to prevent the disease.

He also called for early detection and treatment to keep diabetes under check as it affected heart and kidneys in little time.

Regional Eye Hospital Superintendent M Mohan Rao said free eye camps were being conducted in the hospital regularly under the aegis of National Blindness Control Society and called for greater awarness of the disease.
