Engineer cleared of "illicit relations" served deportation orders
Dubai, Oct 13 (UNI) An engineer, who was cleared by a Doha court of ''illicit relations'' with two Indonesian housemaids, has been served with an ''administrative deportation order'' despite his acquittal, a spokesman for his company has said.
The 28-year-old engineer was ''caught'' while travelling with two Indonesian housemaids and an Indian friend in his car on August 28 last year.
The company official said the engineer had gone to pick up the friend, without knowing that the Indonesian housemaids were with him.
A court on January 29 this year ordered their release after finding that the evidence of illicit relations was weak, Gulf Times reported.
The company, which wanted to send the engineer to Kuwait and China on official business, is unable to do so because of the deportation order.
