Constitution of Banerjee Commission politically motivated:Nitish

Patna, Oct 13 (UNI) Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar today said Gujarat High Court verdict setting aside the U C Banerjee Commission report on Godhra carnage had proved his observation right.

Talking to newspersons, he said he had repeatedly stated that the constitution of Banerjee Commission was politically motivated and explained how the Banerjee Commission was irrelevent when Railway Minister Lalu Prasad had announced about its constitution in Parliament.

Mr Kumar said he had clearly stated the intentions of Mr Prasad when he brought the Commission's interim report only to gain political mileage during the Assembly elections in Bihar.
